Projects of CAP

Central Advocacy Partners is independent of any statutory funding and as such is project focussed. This means we have various specialist projects running at any one time, however, all of our work is aimed at providing effective relationship based advocacy for people with a learning disability or autism in the Forth Valley area.

Our current projects are:

Generic Advocacy Project

CAP’s generic advocacy project is here to make sure you’re heard, to strengthen your voice and to help you unpick what other organisations are saying.

Survivors Advocacy Project

The survivors advocacy project is here to help women and girls with a learning disability or autism, who live in Forth Valley and have or are experiencing domestic abuse to have their voice heard.

Victim Centred Advocacy Project

The victim centred advocacy project helps people with a learning disability or autism, over 16, living in Falkirk, who are affected by crime.

Transitions Advocacy Project (A’n’A)

The transitions advocacy project provides information, self advocacy, and support to young people in Falkirk with autism, aged 12–24.

HouseLink Advocacy Project

HouseLink Advocacy provides advocacy to people living in residential care services. We visit regularly and build relationships with people living there. We provide one to one advocacy as independent from the service and finding out what people think about the care that they receive.
